| What is the Green Parade? Green parade is a eco-procession that drives music enthusiasts, delegates and environmentalists to the anchor event of the SMC - the Love Festival. As a fund raising attraction this musical caravan radiates colour, fun & freedom. On arrival all participants are given - a flower-seeded wristband - called a Love Bangle before they sent along their way to the event. The rules are simple: Go crazy on your costumes; register with us to ensure your float or cart is eco-friendly; for performers & entertainers - let your imaginations run wild! This united march for humanity, peace and sustainability uses ecological power for all its floats and sound systems - any energy that must be used is offset thanks to our involvement with [myclimate.org ] We also recycle all the aluminium. glass and PET plastics used at our events! So help us bring colour and beauty to the streets No matter what race, skin colour, religion, sexual orientation or interest group people belong to, the Green Parade welcomes you.
