What is Happy SMC?

As the clock strikes twelve midnight, the spirit of Summer Music Conference sweeps over the city signifying a time of celebration, optimism and hope for the future. This night marks the birthday of a club Culture designed to inspire a new awareness and appreciation for the environment.

At 12am, birthday parties converge, uniting people of all races and cultures across the nation in a resolution to make a better life and take action against global warming.

If you cannot venture out for your Happy SMC then why not hold your own midnight celebration and tell us of any pledges, functions or personal actions you will make to highlight first day of the Summer Music Conference and make your world just a little bit brighter. It dosnt need to be alaborate, all we ask is that you make it as carbon neutral as possible.

Simple ideas for personals actions are:
Throw a dinner party (comprising of food & beverages made locally)
Make a resolution to recycle.
Plant a tree on the SMC website.
Stop smoking.
Change to energy saving lightbulbs.

Amongst other pledges or actions you can make to personally do to make your world a little bit brighter, perhaps Pledge not to argue for a week – No matter what
